Jacobs Institute
The Jacobs Institute is a non-profit medical device innovation center on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus (875 Ellicott Street), uniquely positioned between Kaleida Health's Gates Vascular Institute and UB's Clinical and Translational Research Center. Founded in 2008 through a $10 million gift from Jeremy M. Jacobs and family as a memorial to Dr. Lawrence D. Jacobs, the Institute brings physicians, engineers, entrepreneurs, and industry together to accelerate next-generation vascular and neurologic medical technology — including through its i2R (Idea to Reality) proof-of-concept center.
